Cider set for greater international success

Cider is experiencing growth all around the world and is increasingly becoming a true international beverage. One of the industry’s strengths is its flair for innovation, made clear at this year’s Global Cider Forum in Frankfurt.

Sparkling winery Schloss Wachenheim AG has been involved in wine dealcoholization since the 1980s, when there was also a mini non-alcoholic and reduced-alcohol wine innovation boom.

Packaging alternatives to glass bottles have, to date, hardly played any role in the wine industry. Many consumers regard wine in glass bottles, especially in the form of the common 1.0- and 0.75-liter bottles, as a part of wine’s identity.
